The treated outer layer blocks out continuous rain or snow for up to 60 minutes, while the fleece inner layer creates an insulating microclimate of warm air next to your skin to regulate your body temperature while you race. The fabric also works to continuously wick moisture away from your skin so it can evaporate at the surface, saving you from working up a damp chill a few laps into your race. As you'd expect from a race suit, the DirtShell has a contoured fit designed to stay in place and adapt to the demands of a 'cross course whether you're riding through a sandpit or shouldering your bike to navigate a steep run-up. Santini's included GIT Chamois features variable cushioning and a signature twist gel silicone core to provide strategic support in the areas you need it most. A full-length zipper allows you to make temperature adjustments as you warm up, while the high collar blocks out errant snowflakes and raindrops.
